One of the most important and under-utilized features of an automation control system is the measurement and verification of energy used, moved or stored by mechanical equipment of a building or process system. By measuring and recording the sensor data, energy savings can be achieved through fine tuning the equipment functions, times of operation, and provide proof of energy usage reductions for utility rebate programs.
